Skylar Hayes and Abigail Fitzpatrick led the Lady Toppers to a strong first set over Mendon Unity by winning 25-11. The second set was much more competitive as both teams went back and forth with points. With the score tied at 13, Hayes would again spark Mt. Pulaski on a 5-0 run to take a 18-13 lead.
The Lady Mustangs would tie the game at 24 off an Addison Miller shot that was tipped out of play. Abigail Fitzpatrick would record the final two points for Mt. Pulaski to get the Toppers into the championship game. Mt. Pulaski will take on Jacksonville Routt this Wednesday at 6 p.m. for a sectional title.
