Glenwood isn’t giving up its top spot in the CS8 without a fight and thanks to Luke Lehnen’s magic on offense and some timely turnovers the Titans escape Decatur with a 39-32 overtime win over Decatur MacArthur.
Lehnen had five total touchdowns (3 passing and two rushing) to lead the Glenwood offense while 4 turnovers (2 on defense and 2 on special teams) helped fend off a pesky and aggressive Generals squad.
Derrick Taylor had 129 rushing yards and three touchdowns to lead MacArthur but it was his fumble on the Generals first play in overtime at the Titans 5 yard line that would lead to the Titans win as Tyler Burris made his second fumble recovery of the game to seal the win. With the win Glenwood goes to 6-0 on the season while MacArthur falls to 4-2.
