Springfield High was absolutely peppering the Mahomet Seymour goal with shots for 76 minutes, but they had just one goal to show for it in a 1-1 tie. Then, with about 3:30 left in the game, Morgan Gill found a streaking Maria Jorquera, hit her with a perfect pass toward the net, and Shoosh did the rest. Her game winner sent the Senators to the Sectional Championship Friday at 5 p.m. at Urbana.
