New Berlin was riding high into the post season this week, and rightfully so. The Pretzels had just locked up their first ever Sangamo baseball title and sights were set on a post season run. That run nearly ended in New Berlin’s first game on Thursday. The Pretzels needed a three run seventh inning, and a sacrifice fly from Dalton Minder to secure a 4-3 come from behind win against North Mac.
New Berlin will play Pleasant Plains on Saturday in New Berlin for the 2A regional title. Pleasant Plains’ head coach Dave Greer will be looking for career win No. 700.
