Jacob Maton looked like a returning all stater in Glenwood’s opener on Wednesday evening, going five hitless innings, giving up just one hit batter while striking out ten. The Titans would score three runs in the top of the seventh to force extras and come up with two runs in the ninth to beat Columbia 6-4 in the PBR Metro East Kickoff Classic on Wednesday evening at SIUE’s baseball complex. Cole Hembrough went 3-5 and Graham Bender picked up two hits as well for the Titans.
