Lincoln Survives Tight Affair With Okoro, Normal West in Monster Non-Conference Game at Roy S. Anderson

The Lincoln Railers are heading into the postseason next week with a lot of confidence and momentum as the Railers grinded down a top notch 4A power, Normal West to win 37-34. Normal West took an early 12-4 lead lead by one of the top juniors in the country, 6’9 Francis Okoro, but the Railers defense buckled down and held Okoro to just 11 points in front of many college scouts, including Illinois Head Coach Brad Underwood. Isaiah Bowers made his final appearance at Roy S. Anderson gym a memorable one as he lead all scorers with 20 points including over 10 points in the 4th quarter but it was Bowers two late assists that helped Lincoln get the lead and keep the lead late. Lincoln moves on to regional play next week at Rochester with a record of 24-5.
