Rochester Weathers Early Storm, Rattles Off 21 Unanswered For Regional Championship Win Over BCC

It was about as good of a first quarter as you could’ve asked for – if you were a Bloomington Central Catholic fan. The Saints forced the Rochester Rockets into multiple first quarter turnovers that were quickly converted into buckets at the other end, resulting in a 15-8 first quarter lead. From there, the Rockets absolutely lit it up. Lindsey Sapetti, Jordan Handlin, and Peyton Boudouris rattled off six second quarter three’s, four of them coming from Boudouris, to go on a 21-0 run as the Rockets took a 32-22 lead into the locker room. From there, senior guard Havilyn Dulin paced the Rockets in the second half, as a late Saints comeback was stifled by consistent foul shooting down the stretch from Rochester as they held on for a 59-54 win.

Peyton Boudouris led the Rockets with 21 points, including five three pointers, while Havilyn Dulin added 14 points. Lauren Shanks had a game-high 22 points for the Saints in the loss.
