Cardinals Need Comeback To Beat Bullets For Regional Crown

A young team with only one senior on the roster trailed by 12 at the half and still was able to keep their composure and mount a comeback that saw Pleasant Plains beat Williamsville 55-46 in the 2A Pleasant Plains regional championship game.

Olivia Felts scored a game high 16 points and Maggie Zibutis chipped in double figures to help the Bullets build their lead in the second quarter, but Caroline Jachino finished with 15 points including a three pointer with 2 minutes to play that proved to be the dagger.

Pleasant Plains will play Alton Marquette in the 2A Riverton sectional semifinal on Tuesday night at 7:30 p.m.
