Pleasant Plains has looked like a different team since the Sangamon County Tournament and that stretch of strong play continued on Tuesday as the Cardinals picked up a 55-49 road win at Auburn. Nick Savage led all scorers with 17 points and Joel Niermann added a double-double with 11 points and 13 rebounds.
Pleasant Plains travels to Athens on Friday.
