Springfield High and Glenwood battled all afternoon long in Chatham Saturday afternoon, but in the game’s final minute, the Senators came through with clutch free throw shooting to hold on for a 50-46 win. SHS went 7-8 in the final minute as Abby Ratsch went 4-4 and Shay Doty went 2-2 in the final ten seconds. With the win, Springfield High clinched the Central State 8 title. It’s the eighth CS8 crown for the Senators in the last 10 years.
Ozzy Erewele had 14 points for the Senators, while Makenzie Bray had 20 for the Titans in the loss.
