The start of Saturday’s matchup between MacArthur and Normal U-High was the Amir Brummett show. Brummett hit five three pointers in the first quarter, and the Pioneers could never really recover from a 15-point first quarter deficit as the MacArthur Generals beat the U-High Pioneers 66-53 on Saturday night.
Amir Brummett finished with a game-high 22 while Armon Brummett added 15. Alex Wood led the Pioneers with 16 and Mark Widdel chipped in 15 in the loss.
