Here are this week’s candidates for Prime Time Performer.

You can vote once every 12 hours until the polls close on Friday at 5 p.m.

The winner will receive a $20 gift card to Mariah’s Restaurant.

Nic Baker (Rochester Quarterback) The kid is putting up such incredible numbers this season, Rocket nation needs to realize that he may go down as one of the all time greats to ever wear the uniform. In a quarterfinal on Saturday, Baker only played a half and threw for 448 yards and five touchdowns. His season ratio for touchdowns to interceptions is 50/2.

Kai Carlberg (Pleasant Plains Wide Receiver) He’s technically listed as a wide receiver, but if you’ve been to a Pleasant Plains game this season you’ve seen Carlberg play just about every position. He was responsible for all three Cardinals touchdowns in their quarterfinal, including the game winner in overtime. College rugby teams are already interested…it’s probably time for college football teams to get a look.

Mason Reiff (Athens Quarterback) The offensive leader of the Athens Warriors threw for 56 yards and a touchdown. Senior QB Mason Reiff also caught a 21 yard pass from Drayton Davis against Red Hill. The biggest play of the game though, was from Reiff on defense. The first of his two interceptions came exactly when the Warriors needed it just most before the half.

Ian Benner (Maroa-Forsyth Quarterback) Yes, we know that Deondre Gregory scored all the touchdowns again. But the sophomore QB’s numbers against West Hancock impressed us as he found six different receivers for 291 yards. Ian Benner’s completion percentage was just south of 90%, completing 25 of his 28 throws.

Ashleigh Sinks (Williamsville Swimmer) There can not be a worse last name for a swimmer, but the Bullets’ senior has proved that wrong. Ashleigh Sinks qualified for state swimming for the fourth straight season on Saturday. She finished first at the Edwardsville sectional in the 100 butterfly with a time of 55.75 and first in the 100 backstroke with a time of 58.18 to guarantee herself one more meet in her high school career.

Sydney Tobias (Southeast Swimmer) The Spartans swimmer locked up her first trip to state with a second place finish in the 100 backstroke with a time of 58.55 at the Edwardsville sectional. Tobias came in second to Sinks in the event but beat the state qualifying time which was 58.69.

Cami Blair (SHG Swimmer) The Cyclones are sending their 200 medley team to the state tournament, but individually, Blair is making her trip north as a junior as well. Blair won the 100 freestyle at the Edwardsville sectional with a time of 53.29 to lock up a spot in the pool at New Trier High School on Friday.
