Glenwood has taken a back seat in the Central State 8 baseball conversation over the past few seasons, but if Reid Detmers’ performance on Tuesday was any indication, the Titans might just be embarking on their return to major relevance.
Detmers, the Louisville commit who transferred to Glenwood from Nokomis this past summer, struck out 15 while walking two in a 1-0 no-hit win over SHG. He makes up a 1-2 punch with Titans’ junior pitcher Jacob Maton who is committed to Coastal Carolina. Maton will be on the bump for Glenwood on Wednesday when they play at SHG at 4:30.
