Pleasant Plains ended QND’s season last year in what many dubbed an upset in the 2A Beardstown Sectional finals. If the Cardinals were to repeat that feat in Friday’s regional championship against the Raiders at The Pit, it would no doubt be an even greater upset than this time a year ago.
Plains beat Illini West 71-52 in Tuesday’s 2A QND Regional semifinals. QND, a power in Class 2A all season, defeated Beardstown 101-55 to set up the rematch.
