Hillsboro sophomore, Sammi Matoush poured in a game high 30 points in the 2A regional championship, to lead the Hilltoppers to a 60-51 win over Auburn, ending the Trojans season.
The Hilltoppers and Trojans met back on December 26 in the Riverton Holiday Tournament, where Hillsboro hung on to beat Auburn, 51-50. The two evenly matched teams provided another entertaining matchup on Thursday.
Hillsboro advances to the Waverly sectional.
