The Springfield High Senators held SHG scoreless from 5:39 left in the second quarter until 4:10 to go in the third quarter. Kyra Webster scored 15 points and Montshianna Pulliam added ten to give Springfield High a 50-39 win over the Cyclones in the SHG 3A regional championship.
Lakyn Wagoner had 12 points for the Cyclones including two big threes to cut their deficit to ten with just over two minutes to play, but the Senators held on for the win, beating SHG for the third time this season.
Springfield High advances to the Clinton sectional next week.
