Crimsons Offense Fails To Keep Pace With Cycs In 62-14 Loss

Everyone knew that Jacksonville's offense could put points on the board and on Friday, everyone wondered whether they could do it at a clip that would allow them to keep pace with SHG. The answer, was no. SHG posted 693 yards of total offense while slapping another running clock on an opponent with a 62-14 Week 3 triumph. 

Tim Brenneisen and Sam Bonnansinga connected for the first three scores of the night. Brenneisen, the junior quarterback, finished 10-of-17 for 252 yards and four touchdowns. Bonnansinga, the SIU bound senior receiver caught five passes for 136 yards and the three scores. Sam Sergent found the endzone three times as well while, while piling up 156 yards on 11 carries. 

The Crimsons turned the ball over four times in the first half. Joe Brannan finished 17-of-29 for 229 yards but threw three interceptions.
