They just ran out of time.  The Titans couldn't finish their unbelievable 4-year run to state with a title, as the Corsairs scored the only goal of the game with under 3:00 to play to claim the 2A state championship.

It was evident early on that these two teams were evenly matched.  Both teams had chances and you got the feeling that it would be close throughout.  Tied 0-0 at halftime, Glenwood seemed to come out and control the tempo throughout the 2nd half.  But a goal never came.

Instead, it was Carmel's Erin Johnston that found the net with a high lofting shot with 2:37 to play that was the difference in the game.

Glenwood finishes their season with a record of 18-5-3.  The Titans seniors completed a four-year run of state finals appearance by finishing 2nd, 1st, 3rd, and now 2nd.  Their overall record during that span was 75-15-8 and 25-3 in the postseason.
