Former Illini and Orlando Magic player, Nick Anderson was in attendance for the second night of the Adam Lopez Thanksgiving Tournament and he was impressed by one Lanphier Lion that put on a show on Tuesday night. Lions senior guard, Yaakema Rose dropped 27 points in Lanphier’s 60-43 win over Pekin on 11-of-17 shooting, including a 4-of-5 mark from three-point range. Anderson said after the game that Rose “has dog in him.”

Rose wasn’t the only one that played well. Fellow senior Aundrae Williams scored 14 points, dished out eight assists and tallied three steals. Junior Cardell McGee scored nine points and Corrington Jones chipped in with six points off the bench.
