Springfield High came into Jacksonville looking for a share of the CS8 title, but the Crimsons didn’t make it easy. After taking an early lead with a Max Thuma header with 26 minutes left in the first half, the Senators had to fight off a Reed Rogers equalizer on a penalty kick with 12 minutes to go in the game. A few minutes after that Luke Owsley answered on a PK of his own to give Springfield High back the lead, and a share of the CS8 title to go with it in a 2-1 win.
