U-High need a full three sets to put away Springfield High and clinch at least a share of the Central State Eight conference title.
The Pioneers got some loud kills from Alayna Crabtree in the first set but the Senators were able to set up a block in the second and Mel McKeown came up big. In the third, Jessica McDowell delivered late to power the Pioneers to a win.
U-High has just one conference match left against Eisenhower next Tuesday with a chance to win the CS8 title outright and remain undefeated in conference.
