Despite trailing at halftime and losing their star running back to injury, the Athens Warriors dug deep to rally and pick up their first win of the season, 36-15 over Plesant Plains.
Athens outscored Plains 21-0 in the second half thanks, lead by 5’3 senior running back Kameron Floyd, who helped pick up for the injured Nic Laird with two touchdowns.
Athens with the win goes to 1-1 and will travel to PORTA next week while Pleasant Plains falls to 1-1 and will host Riverton next Friday night.
