Here are this week’s candidates for Prime Time Performer.

You can vote once every 12 hours until the polls close on Friday at 5 p.m.

The winner will receive a $20 gift card to Mariah’s Restaurant.

Maria Jorquera (Springfield Soccer) SHOOSH! The Springfield High forward had an unforgettable night against SHG Tuesday. With the Senators down 2-0 at halftime, Jorquera went on to record a second half hat trick, netting all three of the Senator goals to give Springfield High a big 3-2 conference win over SHG.

Drew Hicks (Maroa Forsyth Baseball) The Trojans outlasted Pleasant Plains in another instant classic last week, and the sophomore was the catalyst for Maroa. Racking up three hits, three RBI and the win on the mound in relief, Hicks came up with a monster two RBI triple to start a five run 9th inning for the Trojans that ultimately gave them the win.

Ozzy Erewele (Springfield Track) What a week! A number of city track stars showed out at girls City Track on Wednesday, but none showed up like Ozzy. The senior broke the city record for the 100 meter dash and the 200 meter dash with times of 11.81 and 24.29, respectively, while helping guide Springfield High in multiple relay events to eventually seal another City Track win for the Senators.

Serena Bolden (Southeast Track) Ozzy might steal the headline, but Serena was just a tenth of a second behind her, also breaking the previous 100 meter dash record of 11.98 with an 11.91. Bolden also shattered the city triple jump record with a distance of 39’ flat, crushing it by almost two feet. Bolden is currently ranked first in the state in the triple jump according to Athletic.net.

Summer Williams (Southeast Track) What a debut for the freshman! In Summer’s first ever City Track meet, she won the High Jump with a height of 5’ while helping the Spartans to first place finishes in the 4×200 and 4×400 with times of 1:49.82 and 4:08.6. Big things ahead for the young Spartan sprinter!

Carson Reese (New Berlin Track) The Pretzels couldn’t come away with the team win at the Pretzel Open on Saturday, but that didn’t stop Reese from having a great day himself. Carson placed first in the High Jump with a height of 5’8” while also flashing the wheels, winning the 100 meter dash with a time of 11.89 seconds.

Peyton Taylor (Mount Pulaski Track) In case you haven’t heard, Peyton Taylor has a cannon attached to his body. Competing in the Pretzel Open in the discus on Saturday, Taylor broke the meet record, throwing the discus a remarkable 194 feet. That’s good for eighth best in the entire nation right now according to Athletic.net.

Reagan Miles (Rochester Softball) Reagan Miles was great at the plate this week – she hit a grand slam against Taylorville Monday – but it was her work on the mound that earns her this week’s PTP shoutout. Miles pitched a perfect game against Taylorville on top of the grand slam, then followed that up with a 20K game against Eisenhower, breaking the previous school strikeout record of 18.
