We got our first real chance to look at some of the area track and field squads during a wet and windy Capital City Classic Saturday afternoon. Normal U High’s Jared Schuckman came away with first place in the 1600 meter, Karl Wright took home first place in the high jump for Lanphier, and Springfield High’s Robert Williams dominated both the 110 Hurdle and the 300 Hurdle. In team scores, MacArthur notched a 4th place team finish.
