Glenwood Overcomes 6 Run Deficit But U-High Still Pulls Out Win In Battle Of CS8 Unbeatens

Chris Cuppini’s three run home run in the top of the fifth inning gave U-High what felt to be an insurmountable six run lead over Glenwood at Community Park on Tuesday. A six run bottom half of the inning from the Titans signaled that the matchup of Central State 8 unbeatens was as good in reality as it was thought to be in theory.

That 6-6 tie held until the top of the seventh when U-High’s Jack Feely drove in a pair with a bases loaded single. Feely then took the mound to close out the game as Uhigh held off a final push from Glenwood to secure the 9-7 win.

Coastal Carolina commit Jacob Maton did not pitch for the Titans on Tuesday. He will start on Wednesday after weather postponements pushed his starts to Thursday in each of the last two weeks.
