City Champs Reside On.. What Side? What Side? East Side, East Side East Side! WHAT! (HIGHLIGHTS)


 

More than 6,000 people piled into the BOS Center in downtown Springfield on Saturday, hoping for a show in the City Tournament Championship game between Lanphier and Southeast. They got one. Southeast outscored Lanphier 19-8 in the second quarter to overcome a seven point deficit and the Spartans never trailed in the second half of a 47-41 decision.

Southeast junior Anthony Fairlee had a game high 15 points and 12 rebounds. Junior point guard Terrion Muridx added 14 and nine respectively. James Jones, Cardell McGee and Karl Wright all finished with 10 points for the Lions. Wright added 12 rebounds and four blocks.

The teams combined to go 0-for-29 from 3-point range in the game. Lanphier was 0-for-21 and Southeast was 0-for-8.
