Senior guard Eddie Longmeyer scored 18 points to lead UIS to a 61-59 win over UMSL on Thursday evening.
Local talent included former Taylorville forward Eric Dust who started for UMSL and finished with 6 points and 8 rebounds.
The Prairie Stars got 4 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists from former Lanphier guard Aundrae Williams while Collin Stallworth, former Rochester forward had 2 points and 6 rebounds.
