Lanphier Tops Eisenhower in a “Grind It Out” 62-45 Win

A good test of just how good a team can be is when absolutely nothing is going for them and they still find a way to grind out a double digit win. Lanphier and Eisenhower committed a combined 49 turnovers and 41 fouls in a sloppy Friday night game in Decatur that saw Lanphier come away with a 62-45 win.

Herb McMath led all scorers with 15 while Cardell McGee flirted with a triple double with 13 points, 16 rebounds, and nine assists for Lanphier. For Eisenhower, Quylan Young and Jareece Jackson had 11 apiece in the loss.

After the game Lanphier Head Coach Blake Turner spoke about grinding out wins in the CS8 and how Lanphier relies on defense to win when their offense isn’t clicking.
