For You Dad: How Paul Tewes’ Legacy Has Helped Inspire A Family, A Community And A Football Team


 

Paul Tewes was a staple of Pleasant Plains and their athletic community. He was an assistant on the football field and he coached his daughter Hope and son Tristen into state championship caliber high jumpers. In August of 2016, Paul died unexpectedly in his sleep in the middle of the night. A year later, as Paul’s wife and three children grapple to deal with his loss, they’ve found another level of healing provided by the Cardinals unlikely run to the 3A state championship game.
