Normal U High’s Jared Schuckman took home first place in the CS8 Boys Cross Country Championship on Saturday in the school’s first year in the conference. Schuckman finished with a time of 15:38. Springfield’s Kyle Boughter came in second with a time of 15:57 and U High’s Dane Alexander and Matthew Zacharias rounded out the top four with times of 16:10 and 16:15 respectively. The Pioneers took the team race with 33 points, with Springfield a close second with 39. Glenwood rounded out the top three with 61. Nine Pioneers finished in the top 20 individually.
