Who are the newcomers we should know about and why?

Jake Mullink (QB-JR)- Dynamic dual threat Quarterback that has the ability to change the game whenever he touches the ball. Has the natural ability to find and get to the smallest creases, while his passing and decision making skills have made leaps and bounds as he settles in with the receiving corps and the new offensive scheme.

Cade VanAusdall (WR-SR)- Biggest surprise of the summer, big bodied receiver whose receiving skills get better every day. Has the potential to be a threat from any spot on the field, but especially in the endzone where he can use his 6’5 height to go up and get the ball.

What are the questions marks for this team heading into the 2017 season?

Our skill positions are a big question mark this year. We graduated the majority of our skill players last year and are looking to see what underclassmen step into those roles and how they will compete.

What’s something unique about this team that’s worth noting?

This team has a special group of seniors who are both football smart and driven to continue building on the tradition and culture that was established under Coach Shane Owsley. Independently they have organized team workouts and gatherings to ensure that the whole team is ready for the start of the season. While we lost a great deal of our main characters from the previous year’s team these seniors are stepping up and taking on leadership roles without missing a beat.

Head Coach Dan Carlson says:
This team has the ability to go as far as they want to go. There are many question marks that surround this team because of the immense amount of talent that we graduated from last years team, but there are many players who are ready to step up and into those roles. Last year’s seniors set a high standard and expectation level that our kids are working hard to match bring to an even higher level this year.
