Couldn’t Find A Rhythm: Lanphier Goes Cold As Lions Fall To Morgan Park In State Semifinals


 

Lanphier shot just 30 percent from the floor and 2-of-22 from three-point range, falling to Morgan Park, 60-53 in the 3A state semifinals on Friday. Lanphier dealt with foul trouble all throughout the game as Yaakema Rose and Cardell McGee both struggled to stay on the floor from the second quarter on.

Lanphier will play Bloomington on Saturday at 11 a.m. in the third place game. Morgan Park advances to the state championship to play Fenwick. The Mustangs are looking for another state championship to add on to their 2013 and 2014 titles.

Morgan Park’s star guard, Ayo Dosunmo played just five minutes before injured his left foot/ankle in the first quarter. He did not return to the game.
