What a heart breaker.
Williamsville trailed by 10 points late in the third quarter against Tremont in the 2A Stanford Olympia section semifinal on Wednesday, but the Bullets used a furious fourth quarter rally to come back and tie the game up late in the fourth quarter.
Holding on to a 45-43 lead with 3.3 seconds left, Williamsville inbounded with a chance to tie the game or win it, but Jake Pennell’s three-point attempt at the buzzer just missed, sending the Bullets home.
Tremont advances to play QND on Friday in the sectional title.
