Anthony Fairlee was the go-to guy in the first half but down the stretch with Taylorville flirting with an upset bid in the 3A Taylorville regional semifinal, Trevyon Williams wanted the ball in his hands and he delivered a 55-52 win over the Tornadoes.
Jordan Moats had a half court shot at the buzzer rim out for what would have forced overtime in a game that saw the Tornadoes come back from being down by as many as nine to take a 51-50 lead late in the fourth.
Anthony Fairlee scored a game high 18 points, while Logan Clayton put up 17 in his final game as a Tornado.
Southeast gets the winner of MacArthur and Eisenhower on Friday for the regional title.
