Lanphier completed the first step of what some think could be a long postseason run. The Lions defeated Rochester, 51-27 to advance to the 3A Lanphier regional final. Lanphier will get the winner of Jacksonville – Lincoln. That game will be played at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Lober Nika Gymnasium.
Yaakema Rose scored 18 points and ripped down 13 points in the win. The Lions held Rochester to 9-of-39 shooting, good for 23 percent. Collin Stallworth paced Rochester with 11 points and 10 rebounds.
