New Berlin junior Max Day scored 11 points, pulled down 12 rebounds and blocked 10 shots in a 51-34 win over Calvary in the 1A Pawnee regional finals on Friday. It was the first regional win for the Pretzels since 2013, and the victory itself improved New Berlin t0 21-9, matching their best season win total since 1966.
Connor Allen scored a game high 16 points for New Berlin who plays Metro East Lutheran in the Okawville Sectional semifinals on Wednesday.
