Lions Take Body Blows Early, But Roar Back To Sink Jacksonville; Lanphier Gets Southeast Tuesday

For the second consecutive Friday, it looked like Lanphier was going to get blown out of the gym on the road. In the first quarter, the Lions fell down 10-0, then 15-2 and trailed 22-8 after the first quarter.

In the second quarter, though, Lanphier flipped the script. The Lions outscored the Crimsons, 25-7 to take a lead into halftime and Lanphier never relinquished the advantage.

Cardell McGee played one of the best games of his career, scoring 33 points on 11-of-21 shooting, while pulling down nine rebounds. Yaakema Rose, who played with an illness, scored six points, 10 rebounds and tallied six steals. Aundrae Williams added 14 points for the Lions.

James White scored 26 points and hit six three-pointers. Brady Hays scored 15 points and Brandon McCombs tallied his 18 double-double of the season with 11 points and 11 rebounds.

Lanphier hosts Southeast on Tuesday.
