On Monday night, the District 186 school board approved David Lett to become the next head football coach at Lanphier High School. Lett coached at Seneca High School from 1987-1994. He led Seneca to a 14-0 season in 1990, which resulted in a 2A state championship, as the Fighting Irish beat Gillespie, 34-8. Lett replaces the departed Jason Nikson, who resigned following Lanphier’s win over MacArthur in the regular season finale. Nikson coached Lanphier from 2011-16.
