The Springfield Senators claimed their seventh consecutive CS8 championship on Saturday afternoon. The Senators took first place in the following events: the 200-yard medley relay, 200-yard freestyle, the 100-yard freestyle, the 200-yard freestyle relay, the 100-yard backstroke and the 400-yard freestyle relay.
The non-Senators that starred on Saturday, included Glenwood’s Spencer Hohm, who claimed first place in the 200-yard IM and 500-freestyle. Jacksonville’s Ben Leutz defended his title in the 50-yard freestyle and set a CS8 record in the 100-yard breaststroke. Jacksonville’s Max Willner edged out Gage Hamill in the 100-yard butterfly for a first place nod.
Earlier in the day, during the diving competition, Springfield’s Drew Harmon set a school and conference record.
