Springfield High reclaimed the city crown a season ago against Lanphier and this year they defended it against the Lions with a 45-32 win in the deciding match on Friday night. The Senators jumped out to a 21-3 lead, only to watch Lanphier battle back to tie it at 21. Springfield answered with a win by fall and a forfeit but the Lions again fought back to tie the match at 33 with two matches to go. 126 pound Jacquez Stewart put the win on ice with a pin at 4:47 of his match.
Southeast took third place and SHG finished fourth.
