Unbeaten No More: MacArthur Topples No. 1 Lanphier In Lions Final Game Before City Tournament


 

Lanphier took a 13-0 record and the No. 1 ranking in Class 3A into MacArthur on Tuesday, and left with a 65-59 loss. Amir Brummett posted 24 points and seven rebounds and his brother Armon added 15 points, eight boards and four assists.

Lanphier played much of the game with out starting point guard Aundrae Williams who dealt with foul trouble from the midway point of the first quarter on. The Lions got a double-double from Yaakema Rose who had 20 points and 12 rebounds.

There MacArthur win leaves a four way tie in the loss column in the Central State 8. Lanphier, Southeast, MacArthur and Lincoln all have just one conference loss so far this season.
