We saw our first upset of the day at the Collinsville Tournament on Wednesday as Eisenhower defeated Belleville East, 58-51. The Panthers’ pressure defense aided by the team’s athleticism appeared to be the difference maker in Eisenhower’s impressive win.
The Panthers advance in the winners bracket, setting up a matchup with CS8 foe, Southeast tomorrow at 10 a.m. in Collinsville. Quylan Young paced the Panthers with 14 points on 5-of-8 shooting. Stephon Bobbitt added 10 points and five rebounds.
Illini signee, Javon Pickett, one of the best players in the state of Illinois finished with 13 points, seven rebounds and four assists.
