West Central outscored Lincolnwood 30-12 in the second half and went on to beat the Lancers 58-44 in a quarterfinal at the Waverly Holiday Tournament on Tuesday. The Cougars, who are seeded No. 12 in the tournament, continue a stretch of upsets at Waverly this season. Athens, the No. 1 seed and defending champion, is the only top four team still alive in the championship bracket. West Central will play New Berlin in a semifinal at 8pm.
