Trailing by as many as eight in the second half, the Tornadoes never quit and their defense kept them in it. Tri-City would pull off the first upset of the 2016 Waverly Holiday Tournament by beating North Mac 55-50.
Tri-City will play Athens in the quarterfinals at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday.
