Cougars, Led by the Freshmen, Pull Off Another Upset at Waverly By Beating Pawnee

Gabe Cox was the man for the Cougars and he delivered late as West Central pulled off the upset by beating Pawnee 57-52 in the seventh game of the Waverly Holiday Tournament. The freshman guard drove, scored and got fouled to seal the win with less than a minute to play after making plenty of big shots to keep West Central out front wire to wire.

Pawnee struggled from the floor in the first half before getting hot and erasing a 14 point deficit but Cox closed the door on a comeback.
