On Tuesday night, Williamsville honored and celebrated the legacy of former superintendent, David Root by officially naming the basketball and volleyball court at Williamsville High School, “David J. Root Court”. Root was the superintendent of the Williamsville school district from 2007-16. One of his last projects was the renovation of the main gym in 2014 and now, his signature will forever be etched on the hardwood.
We spoke to some of Root’s family, friends and colleagues as they remember him and celebrate Root Court Dedication Night.
