The Jacksonville Crimsons won a regional as a seven seed and knocked off top seeded SHG during the process. You had the sense that Jacksonville had a ton of momentum heading into the 3A Mt. Zion sectional semifinal against Champaign Central. That proved to be just the case. The Crimsons came back to defeat the Maroons in three sets, to advance to Thursday’s sectional final, where Jacksonville will face Taylorville.
