Athens needed less than seven minutes to build up a 21-0 lead in Friday’s 1A round one post season matchup with Pawnee. The Warriors rolled to a 60-22 running clock win and enjoyed the return of linebacker and running back Hunter Maxwell who missed Week 8 and Week 9 with a knee injury.
Athens will play the winner of Decatur St. Teresa and Toledo (Cumberland) who play in Decatur tomorrow at 1:30.
