Lutheran High soccer seniors Steven Cowles and John Antoine committed to play at the next level on Wednesday afternoon at a special ceremony with family, friends and former coaches at the high school.
Steven Cowles will play at the University of Illinois-Springfield for the Prairie Stars, while John Antoine is headed to Decatur to play for Millikin.
The Southeast Spartans 4×100 meter relay team shocked the field and won the 2A state title with a time of 48.15 seconds. PORTA’s Maria Brauer, Lutheran High’s 4×800 meter relay team and Southeast’s 4×400 meter relay team all brought home second place finishes.
