Nikole Haberkorn got the win on the mound, giving up just one run. The Glenwood pitcher also drove in two runs as Glenwood came back to beat Taylorville 5-2 in the 3A Taylorville regional championship on Saturday.
Harley Leatherman singled in a run for the Tornadoes in the first inning, but Haberkorn and Angie Ford picked up RBI's as Glenwood took the lead in the fourth.
Haberkorn and Ford added another RBI each in the sixth to give Glenwood enough of a cushion and survive a Taylorville rally in the seventh.
Glenwood will travel to the Mattoon sectional on Tuesday evening where they take on the Mattoon Green Wave at 6:30 p.m. in the semifinals.
